About
I am Tim Dallacqua, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (MSW, LCSW) with more than 50 years of experience in mental health treatment. My career has taken me across some of the most demanding clinical settings in the field — from hospital emergency rooms and inpatient psychiatric units to hospice care, adult probation and parole, and specialized eating disorder programs.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals who are often underserved or misunderstood by the broader healthcare system. I bring particular expertise in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and transgender individuals, providing affirming, evidence-based care that honors each person's identity and lived experience.
My practice is built on the belief that every person deserves care that is tailored to their unique needs — not a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you are navigating gender identity, working through complex trauma, managing a hard-to-treat condition, or simply seeking a therapist who will truly listen, I am here.
I currently provide teletherapy services to clients throughout Montana. Sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, and I am always willing to accommodate whatever format best serves your clinical needs.
Areas of Practice
I work with adults across a wide range of clinical presentations. My practice emphasizes affirming, culturally competent care — particularly for individuals whose needs have not been well-served by traditional approaches.
Affirming support throughout all stages of gender exploration and transition — from initial questioning through social, legal, and medical transition. WPATH-informed care and referral letters available.
A safe, affirming space for gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, and questioning individuals. Addressing internalized stigma, relationship issues, family dynamics, and identity development.
Extensive experience with clients who have not responded to standard treatment approaches, including complex trauma, personality disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
Compassionate support for individuals and families navigating terminal illness, grief, and bereavement. Informed by years of hospice social work experience.
Non-judgmental care for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, including those on probation or parole. Experienced in navigating the intersection of mental health and legal systems.
Clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient eating disorder treatment. Collaborative, compassionate care that addresses the psychological roots of disordered eating.
